Coordinator, Chesapeake Gallery - Bel Air, United States - Harford Community College
Description
The Chesapeake Gallery Coordinator is responsible for all areas of operation related to the Chesapeake Gallery.Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Planning Chesapeake Gallery exhibitions and related events in conjunction with the Gallery and Arts on Campus Committee (GACC)
- Attending monthly GACC meetings and providing updates to the committee on exhibitions, events, and activities in the gallery
- Overseeing all aspects of communication with artists, the scheduling installation, maintenance and deinstallation of exhibitions, and managing the shipping and receiving of art when necessary
- Handling promotion and publication of the gallery and exhibitions, including the maintenance of the gallery website and social media presence
- Generating documentation of all exhibition artwork and operating and maintaining the gallery space
- Ordering and maintaining gallery supplies and equipment
- Overseeing the organizational budget
- Growing and improving the gallery's impact on the College and the local and wider region
- Performing specific job tasks/functions unique to position as assigned by supervisor.
Required Education Bachelor of Fine Arts or a bachelor's degree in a related field; Or an associate's degree with at least 5 total years of relevant experience
Required Experience One year of related experience
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia; non-residents are expected to relocate to meet this requirement.
