- Performs receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspections on all components and assemblies throughout the manufacturing cycle, utilizing defined sampling procedures, such as MIL-STD-105 or ANSI/ANSQ Z1.4.
- Is responsible for set-up of inspection equipment and component dimensional layouts, to collect data for inspections.
- Responsible for the recording of inspection data and the completion of assembly documentation and non-conformance reports.
- Assists in the Receiving Inspection Area as required.
- Follows our client's inspection procedures and control plans.
- Follows our client's Manufacturing Procedures (MP), Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP), and all Non-Standard Working Instructions (NSWI).
- Should be able to use tension testers, high-potential voltage testers, weigh scales, microscopes, insulation resistance and bridge wire resistance testers, electro-static discharge testers, micrometers, indicators, comparators, and calipers.
- Maintains quarantine of materials subject to our client's MRB disposition.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A two-year college degree in a technical subject is a plus.
- Inspectors must read and speak English and be able to interpret component and assembly drawings, procedures, and travelers.
- Good mathematical skills and basic trigonometry are needed.
- Full knowledge and use of micrometers, dial bores, calipers, height gages, comparators, and indicators. Ability to measure using standard measuring instruments.
- Prior experience in manufacturing quality inspection positions is a plus.
- Timely documentation flow and the disposition of hardware to production control.
- Effective liaison with Government and customer source inspectors.
- Always performs work in accordance with our client's safety procedures.
- Maintains consistent and reliable attendance as scheduled at work.
- Maintains a cooperative and productive working relationship with management and co-workers.
- Willingness and ability to take on additional duties and responsibilities and grow in the position.
- Asks for guidance and direction from Quality Manager, without delay, and when appropriate.
- Demonstrates loyalty and ethical conduct toward the company in the position.
- Work performed meets production traveler and quality requirements.

Working Conditions:
Inspections will be performed in a well-lit, clean area. The majority of time will be spent in a seated position in front of a workbench. Our client's manufacturer's electro-explosive devices (EED) and the facility contains various industrial chemicals, energetic materials, and EEDs.
Physical Demands:
This position requires sitting, standing, and walking throughout a typical day. Sitting and standing 95%, walking 5%, use of hands, fingers, and arms to operate equipment or hand tools. Potential for some lifting up to 20 pounds, ability to work with microscopes.
20-20 vision is preferred, but acceptable corrections are 20/28 minimum corrected (Snellen) for distance vision, and 20/25 minimum corrected for near vision.
Other applicable requirements:
The Quality Inspector may assist in company efforts during inventory and other activities as appropriate. May be required to perform overtime based on workload requirements.
