Summary/Objective:


The Corporate Accountant will work with the Corporate Finance Manager in handling day to day finance and accounting related responsibilities.


They will use strong analytical skills and assist the Corporate Finance Manager in carrying out daily responsibilities within the Corporate Accounting department.

To succeed in this role, the individual should also have a problem-solving/solutions-oriented approach, be able to effectively multi-task, and ensure that the delivery of financial data is accurate and complete.


Required Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting. Other relevant experience includes accounts payable/receivable, billing, and/or bank reconciliation experience.

Competencies:


  • Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular (managing spreadsheets, creating charts and using advanced formulas)
  • Quickbooks
  • Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to meet deadlines and balance multiple items
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities over time
  • Ability to handle confidential information with utmost important

Corporate Accountant Responsibilities:


  • Oversee weekly accounts payable entry
  • Assist in providing support for monthend and yearend closing
  • Enter, track and provide analysis for GL codes ensuring accuracy
  • Perform bank reconciliations for all operation & Client Finance bank accounts
  • Assist in providing support for annual financial audit
  • Assist with payroll as needed
  • Manage corporate tax items including filing and meeting annual deadlines
  • Create TPA annual reporting, renewals and other filings
  • Manage COBRA cash receipts
  • Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
  • Assist with various financial analysis as needed
  • Assist Client Finance department as needed

Office in Oakland, CA

Pay:
$75, $100,000.00 per year
