WE WANT YOU ON OUR TEAM The primary purpose of our Fraud Specialist is to assist Great Lakes Credit Union to live out our vision, "To be the members' trusted financial partner".**As the Fraud Specialist you will be responsible for managing the Verafin system for fraud cases and work all system alerts from the 17+ fraud modules, conduct initial investigations on the alerts and assign as needed to other department personnel and will process card claims. In this position you will work the call queue, protect the credit union and members against fraudulent transactions by acting within guidelines.

This position is an entry level opportunity in the GLCU Fraud Department.

As a Fraud Specialist, you will:

Work Verafin, research and analyze member accounts for possible cases of fraud.
Ensure documents for imaging are sent daily.
Process debit card fraud claims for possible fraud activity using system tools such as VROL, CATs, and Falcon.
Open all incoming department mail and distribute when necessary.
Verify large check deposits, extend holds as needed. Contact other institutions for check verification to reduce check loss.
Process lost or stolen claims, ensuring protection and mínimal inconvenience to the member as well as GLCU.
Investigate fraud or dispute files related to all card types, i.e. ATM, Debit and Credit, including correspondence with cardholders.

Requirements:

One year to three years of similar or related experience
A high school education or GED
Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential for the job
Decision making requires analytical ability, judgement, and ingenuity and discretion
Work involves interaction with internal/external members
Demonstrate cooperation and maintain positive working relationships with other GLCU departments and staff
Experience with Verafin system is a plus

Department Schedule:

This position is full time, 40 hours a week, with a rotating Saturday schedule.

Monday-Friday:
9:
00am - 5:
30pm

Saturday Rotation:
9:
00am - 2:
00pm
