    HOURS: Up to 35.5 hours/week, times vary daily: student days (revised 2/12/24)

    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equal to 60 college credit hours); or obtain an associate's degree (or higher); or a passing score of 460 on the ETS Paraprofessional Assessment; or have College Board's SAT score of at least 480 on evidence-based reading and writing and a 530 on math.
    • Experience working with adolescent at-risk students.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Must be flexible.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Must be of good moral character.
    • Previous successful experiences with high school-aged children through community, school or other related activities.
    • Must be capable of establishing a good working relationship with students, parents and teachers.
    • Must be patient, able and willing to work with high school students.
    • Good judgment and decision-making.
    • Exhibit emotional stability and physical stamina necessary for fulfilling duties of position.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
    • Facilitate the combined High School/Alternative Education High School Positive Behavior Support Room.
    • Work with identified students to improve behavior, attendance and academic performance.
    • Aid students with homework and daily assignments in a variety of subject areas.
    • Contact parents as required.
    • Function as an instructional team member in the supervision of students in accordance with district administrative operating procedures.
    • Maintain regular, reliable and punctual attendance.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    SALARY: Per DPA Master Agreement
