Melmark Overview:


Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders.


Advancement Manager Overview:


The Advancement Manager will have a portfolio of institutional and individual donors and prospects, using a constituent centric, moves management system (research, qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship) to steadily guide donors/prospects toward the largest gift possible; one that is meaningful to them and aligns with Melmark's current and long-term organizational strategies and goals.


Schedule and Salary Information:


  • Monday
  • Friday 8:30am5pm (onsite)
  • Starting Salary: $75, based on years of experience

Requirements:


  • A minimum of five (5) years experience in a development office setting with focus on annual giving, major gifts, planned giving and/or corporate/foundation relations work, or equivalent and relevant experience. Raiser's Edge experience highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office. Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • Bachelors degree required

Advancement Manager Responsibilities:


  • Lead institutional donor/prospect moves management activities toward meeting current and future fiscal year goals.
  • Identify and qualify individual (annual, major, leadership, and planned gift) donors/prospects for moves management activities, also maintaining a targeted personal portfolio.
  • Participate in:
  • Advancement cultivation and stewardship communication strategies.
  • Allcampus donor recognition opportunities that are confirmed, pending, and available.
  • Advancement cultivation and fundraising events; for the latter, including but not limited to the golf outing and biannual gala.
  • The creation of annual advancement operating plans.
