Job Summary: As a dental assistant, you will work closely with dentists and dental hygienists to provide efficient and high-quality dental care to patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting during dental procedures, sterilizing instruments, preparing treatment rooms, and educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices.

Responsibilities:

Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing other chairside support.
Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterilized and organized.
Take and develop dental X-rays under the direction of the dentist.
Maintain patient records by recording treatment information in electronic or paper format.
Provide post-operative instructions to patients regarding oral hygiene and care.
Perform office tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phones, and handling billing and insurance claims.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide recommendations for dental products.
Assist with dental lab tasks such as pouring and trimming models, and fabricating temporary crowns.
Monitor and maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ordering new supplies as needed.
