Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Stays informed of expectations from regulatory bodies and serves as a primary liaison between Eagle Mountain Casino and the Tule River Tribe Gaming Agency.
  • Consults with management regarding compliance issues needing attention.
  • Develops, maintains, and communicates policies, procedures, and other resource materials as needed to Team Members.
  • May provide training on policies, procedures, and controls regarding submission of correspondence to the TRTGA; monitors regulatory and administrative developments as they occur.
  • Monitors and works with management on updates, policies, and procedures for compliance with regulations and pending regulations.
  • Maintains current compliance knowledge through continually keeping abreast of state, federal, and tribal regulatory changes to policies, practices, regulations, and laws.
  • Responsible for the casino's biennial license renewal, and company policies and procedures.
  • Review advertising and marketing materials, as well as any correspondence between the casino and TRTGA for compliance.
  • Communicates deficiencies with necessary parties, implements appropriate corrective action plans, and monitors remediation compliance.
  • Recognize and evaluate problems and identify potential solutions to management.
  • Suggests improvements.
  • Displays willingness to make decisions; exhibits sound and accurate judgment; supports and explains reasoning for decisions; includes appropriate people in decisionmaking process.
  • Coordinates efforts and communicates closely with management.
  • Works with auditors and understands how to respond to requests.
  • Ensure compliance of departmental policies and procedures.

  • Must attend and be certified in all applicable training programs required.
  • All other departmental duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:


  • Must have an AA Degree plus four (4) years compliance experience. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or similar field with 2 years compliance or quality assurance experience, preferred; education may be substituted with 8 years or more with gaming compliance experience.
  • Minimum age requirement is twentyone (21).
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong oral and written communications sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, management, other contacts, and a variety of audiences
  • Must be professional, polite, and respectful towards guests.
  • Skill in utilizing Word, Excel and Outlook to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated patience, tact and respect.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable through the casino's insurance carrier.
  • Able to obtain and retain a gaming license through the Tule River Tribe Gaming Commission.

Physical and Enviromental:


  • Positions in this job typically require: climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, keyboarding, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions.
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Noise level is typically office setting to loud ringing and bell noises on the casino floor.
  • Exposure to cigarette smoke while on the casino floor.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

HOURS:
The casino operates 24/7. Hours and shifts may vary, and some weekends


SALARY:
$/hr. / weekly pay / overtime eligible
