    *This is an ONSITE role based out of our office in Doral, FL. This is not a hybrid or remote position.

    POSITION SUMMARY

    The Sr. Accountant will play an important role in ensuring quality and opportunity of the Accounting processes and financial statements.

    The Sr. Accountant financial analyst's responsibilities include assisting the Controller in the coordination, documentation and implementation of the key accounting processes, US taxes returns coordination, monthly end close, coordination of activities with the Accounting team in El Salvador and - following up to the applicable KPIs for the area.

    ESSENTIAL AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    • Serve as a link between the business and the accounting area in order to receive requests, issues and new processes and to coordinate its solution and/or implementation.
    • Provide support for the accounting team, including transaction clarification with the business areas in order to ensure the proper accounting entries.
    • Serve as a facilitator of all business transactions that impacts the accounting team located in El Salvador.
    • Prepare accounts reconciliations.
    • Prepare, submit and follow up to the monthly accounting close schedule.
    • Prepares and follow up on compliance with Accounting dashboard and KPIs.
    • Prepare internal controls procedures and guidelines for accounting transactions.
    • Prepares and support US tax returns for the companies that compose L&L Group.
    • Support the Controller to ensure the compliance with local, state and federal government requirements.
    • Assist the Controller in the preparation of periodic accounting reports and to ensure that the reports comply with Generally Accepted Accounting reporting standards.
    • Prepare and provide information requested by External Auditors.
    • Document accounting and administrative procedures.
    • Prepare and review journal entries as required.
    • As a Super-User of the company Financial ERP, assists the F&A and all business areas in all matters regarding the functionality of the software.
    • Coordinates with Financial Planning and Analysis area all accounting and reporting aspects to ensure quality and timely information for the higher administration.

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Education/Certification/Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a similar subject.
    • 2-5 years of related proven experience as an Accountant in large companies.
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office and MS Power Apps.
    • Experience with ERP systems (QuickBooks or Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a Plus).
    • Advanced level of Excel expertise needed.
    • The candidate should be proficient in English and Spanish both written and verbal.

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • 0-10 % travel
