Description
Our client is looking to hire a Payroll Specialist to their growing team.The Payroll Specialist position holds the pivotal responsibility of meticulously preparing and processing the company's payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
Beyond this crucial function, the role encompasses a spectrum of additional accounting activities as directed. All duties are to be executed in strict adherence to company policies and procedures.Responsibilities:
Process biweekly payroll to include calculating payroll timesheets, imputing payroll information, verifying payroll changesVerify payroll, transmit and create funding documentation and execute electronic files for GL & 401k data uploads.
Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting for management.Include but not limited to:
Payroll reports - 401k matching, payroll accrual, labor hours, and payroll status.
Enter report information into SAP financial software.
Send vouchers & funding information to Treasury Dept.
Year-end reporting of payroll earnings and deduction totals.
Prepares special reports and analyses, participates in projects, and performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge and experience in time and attendance rules and procedures, garnishments, payroll taxes, and multistate payroll processingCPP (Certified Payroll Professional) HIGHLY preferred.
Current or recent experience processing payroll utilizing ADP, UKG or similar payroll software systemGeneral office skills and accounting experience of minimum 3+ yearsWorking knowledge of Microsoft office 365 products and effective communication skillsSAP S/4 Hanna experience preferred but not required.
