Bilingual Academic Support Position

Part Time, 28 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide crossdisciplinary bilingual academic support to Gravitas students, ensuring their success in the program
  • Teach up to two sections of classes, which may include ESL and/or Spanish.
  • Conduct standing academic coaching office hours and manage the writing center.
  • Schedule and conduct oneonone appointments with students as required.
  • Oversee the Spanish language lab for students learning Spanish, as well as the English language lab for ELL students.
  • Assist the Assistant Director with orientation, student onboarding, and study skills support.
  • Collaborate with faculty to support students enrolled in academic and language support programs.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in education field preferred
  • Three years of tutoring and/or teaching experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Demonstrated cultural competency

Salary Range:
$25-$38 per hour; commensurate to experience.
