SUMMARY

Under general direction, incumbents act as a liaison between city departments and outside agencies for purposes of coordinating transactions related to real property acquisition and management, including leasing, disposal, abandonment and/or exchange, and the management and maintenance of City-owned property.

Work is both administrative and technical in nature, providing a full range of support to the Real Property Division.

Incumbents have routine contact with title companies, appraisers, attorneys, engineers, sign and fence contractors, utility companies, state and federal agencies, property owners and tenants.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with all City departments to support best practices for the development and deployment of goals, objectives, and tasks of the Community Development Department.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate degree and three years of related experience in community development, property acquisition, real estate research, project management, asset management, or a field directly related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.

Additional education cannot be substituted for experience.
