The Director of Marketing is responsible for creating and executing a strategic marketing plan that ?moves the needle? to create revenue growth.

The Director of Marketing interprets business objectives, performs market and competitive product analysis and creates successful marketing and advertising campaigns from idea to execution.

The Director of Marketing collaborates with the Revenue Generation team (Sales), Product Development, Finance and CEO to develop product promotion, positioning, pricing, and packaging to ensure our revenue growth of our products meet defined goals.

The Director of Marketing is also responsible for directing all marketing operations of the organization including development, planning, and execution of various marketing programs and marketing initiatives in support of the organization?s growth goals.

They also ensure that the organization's message is clearly defined and communicated across all channels and targeted audiences.

The Director of Marketing is also responsible for developing an annual marketing budget and ensuring expenses are maintained within the approved budget.

Previous experience in a start-up environment preferred.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaison with various areas of the organization to ensure that the objectives and efforts of the marketing department are aligned with the organizations goals.
  • Drive the companys brand strategy.
  • Partner with the Revenue Growth team to develop a marketing strategies to support each customer segmentation/channel and align marketing messages, tactics, and resources; develop Rep training presentations and materials.
  • Lead all marketing and branding activities including establishment of KOL program, ensuring we have podium speakers at AAOS, NASS, and other conferences.
  • Create marketing materials highlighting scientific and clinical competitive advantages via print and social, video, and other business platforms.
  • Collaborate with independent distributors and the Hospital Market/GPO Contract Director to obtain product approvals at key hospitals.
  • Ensure that key commercial objectives are exceeded for the assigned product line.
  • Provide leadership to MSL to provide technical and scientific support to sales team.
  • Monitor performance metrics and develop strategies to improve.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company products and services.
  • Drive all product related marketing deliverables including business plans, pricing, positioning, promotional strategies, launch activities and advising on future product developments.
  • Analyze and report regularly on product performance via highly data driven metrics.
  • Formulate new downstream promotional strategies and execute to drive market adoption based on competitive marketplace activity.
  • Manage project budgets and quickly analyze data to determine ROI on marketing programs and modify programs accordingly.
  • Develop comprehensive sales and physician product-related training plans.
  • Routinely communicate with the sales force regarding product updates and availability, competitive activity, sales positioning, best practices.
  • Work closely with key opinion leaders to maximize their participation in launch activities.
  • Lead tradeshow activities for products and provide in-person support where required.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant literature and competitive landscape.
  • Supports other ad hoc projects that will arise with evolving brand needs and changing market dynamics.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or equivalent
  • Minimum of ten (10) years experience in medical products marketing; strongly prefer experience with spine and orthopedics medical devices and/or biologics/HCT/Ps
  • Minimum of five (5) years of people management experience
