    Job Summary/Description

    Reporting to the Manager, Financial Reporting, the Senior, Financial Reporting ("Reporting Senior") assists with the timely and accurate reporting of financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and other relevant regulatory requirements. They also complete accounting research, assess lease and acquisition contracts for accounting impacts, and perform full-cycle accounting for leasing and acquisition transactions.

    Essential Job Duties
    • Performs financial statement tie-out
    • Assists with writing and updating financial statements
    • Assists Manager, Financial reporting with new disclosure requirements for new transactions and new accounting pronouncements
    • Maintains and reconciles leasing and acquisition-related general ledger accounts
    • Maintains of the leasing system, CoStar, and the financial reporting platform, Merrill Bridge
    • Interacts with integrations, acquisitions, finance, legal, and tax to properly account for and value assets acquired in business combinations Interacts with facilities and lease administration to record and report lease amounts timely, completely, and accurately
    • Works with external appraisal experts and auditors
    • Oversees the work and professional development of staff accountants and interns
    • Assists with the implementation controls and maintenance of existing controls for financial reporting, leasing, and acquisition processes
    • Draft technical accounting memos for complex leasing and acquisition-related accounting matters
    Skill/Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • Minimum 2+ years related experience including supervisory/management experience
    • CPA license strongly preferred
    • Past audit experience preferred
    • Strong understanding and background of US GAAP and other regulatory reporting requirements
    • Ability to foster teamwork
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
    • Solid organizational skills
