Job Overview:

Duties:

• Assist individual with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, hygiene, and nutrition.
• Providing friendship and support to young, smart, verbal adult woman aged 27, living in a residential setting
• Implement behavioral health strategies to support clients in managing challenging behaviors that prevent good decision making
• Support the individual in making the right choices and motivating the client to reach her potential
• Guide the individual toward better fitness and diet

Provide special education support and assistance as needed

• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Provide friendship and exosure to community activities
• Utilize social work principles to enhance the wellbeing of individuals
• Conduct data collection and maintain accurate records of client progress

Requirements:

• Experience in direct support roles for individuals with developmental disabilities
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Knowledge of social work principles and practices
• Ability to collect data accurately and maintain detailed records
