    Funky Buddha Brewery, based in Oakland Park, Florida, is looking for a dynamic Maintenance Lead to become part of their expanding team. Established in 2010 at the Boca Raton brewpub, Funky Buddha is renowned for pushing the boundaries of traditional brewing by using culinary-inspired recipes with all-natural, food-centric ingredients. Their popular beers, such as Hop Gun IPA and Floridian Hefeweizen, have gained significant recognition. As the first production brewery in the greater Fort Lauderdale region and the largest in South Florida, Funky Buddha is poised for substantial growth in the upcoming years.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Display excellent mechanical aptitude and enjoy hands-on work
    • Be knowledgeable about various hand tools and their applications
    • Lead a maintenance and custodial team effectively
    • Organize and assign work orders and proactive maintenance tasks
    • Prioritize tasks for the team
    • Utilize a wide range of benchtop equipment for maintenance purposes
    • Systematically troubleshoot equipment issues
    • Ensure completion of maintenance and repair assignments
    • Provide detailed task reporting via email
    • Research and source parts and equipment economically
    • Establish and manage a Preventative Maintenance program
    • Maintain a list of maintenance projects and prioritize them accordingly
    • Facilitate communication among different departments regarding projects and repairs
    • Train team members in troubleshooting, repair, and proper equipment installation
    • Maintain a comprehensive parts catalog and manage inventory efficiently
    • Exercise responsible handling of company resources
    • Submit monthly expense reports for purchased items
    • Be willing to assist in various facility operations and perform custodial duties
    • Available for weekend shifts if critical repairs are essential

    Qualifications

    • Possess 5 years of experience with plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical work, etc.
    • Demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills
    • Proficient in using measurement devices and interpreting their readings
    • Previous experience in managing a maintenance team
    • Ability to comprehend machine manuals and diagrams
    • Flexibility to work varying hours, including overtime and weekends
    • Reside in South Florida or willing to relocate
    • Self-motivated and passionate about craft beer
    • Experience in welding, electrical work, or automation equipment is advantageous

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Perform essential duties involving sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, etc.
    • Engage in heavy physical work like lifting objects, climbing stairs, etc.
    • Comfortable working in diverse environmental conditions
    • Ability to work with hazardous chemicals safely
    • Lift up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally
