    Bilingual Development and Administrative Coordinator

    The Centro Cultural Mexicano, also known as the Mexican Cultural Center (MCC) is a non-profit organization established in 1992 with a goal to promote Mexican culture in the State of Colorado, fostering a sense of pride and connection to our cultural heritage.

    Position Title: Administrative and Development Coordinator (Bilingual Spanish/English)

    Status: Exempt Status

    Supervisor: Executive Director, Mexican Cultural Center

    Position Summary:

    The Administrative and Development Coordinator plays a key role in identifying fundraising and grant opportunities while supporting the Executive Director in overseeing the organization's operations. Responsibilities include managing events, coordinating schedules, maintaining relationships with arts and cultural agencies, and communicating project status effectively to stakeholders.

    Grant Prospecting & Research (20%)

    • Establish and implement grants management processes and procedures with the Executive Director
    • Conduct research to identify suitable grant opportunities aligned with organizational goals
    • Attend informational sessions and webinars to evaluate grant opportunities
    • Assist in scheduling meetings with grant funders and prospects
    • Maintain grants calendar and ensure continuous eligibility for grants
    • Provide updates on grant prospects in team meetings

    Grant Proposal Development (20%)

    • Screen grant opportunities aligned with organizational mission
    • Create grant proposal templates and write compelling proposals
    • Ensure timely submission of grant proposals
    • Review and edit proposal narratives
    • Coordinate additional grant documents with team members

    Grant Reporting (15%)

    • Set up grant reporting schedule
    • Prepare reports and submit them to funders
    • Submit reports to Operations Director and Executive Director

    Fundraising (15%)

    • Support annual fundraising campaigns
    • Help expand donor base
    • Assist in fundraising and sponsorship proposals
    • Contribute to marketing strategies for fundraising campaigns
    • Coordinate sponsorships for MCC programs

    Other Duties, Board Relations and Leadership Support Functions, Marketing and Other Duties (30%)

    • Support program events and agreements
    • Assist with data tracking and reporting
    • Coordinate projects and events
    • Handle general administrative tasks
    • Manage office supplies and policies
    • Provide visitor support and database maintenance
    • Assist with translations and filing of documentation
    • Support marketing and communications functions
    • Help the Board of Directors with tasks and communications

    Necessary Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

    • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in nonprofit organizations
    • Bilingual in Spanish with native proficiency
    • Strong project management and customer service skills
    • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
    • Ability to work well in teams and prioritize tasks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Teams and Office Suite
    • Interest in arts and culture
    • Willingness to learn and adapt in a diverse environment

    Employment type:

    Full-time position requiring 40 hours per week with occasional evening and weekend work.
