SUMMARY

• The Machinist will be responsible for operating and running stations with up to two lathes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Always conform to safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Maintain traceability as required throughout the fabrication process
• Maintain Cleanliness and preparation of components as required
• Report any Nonconforming components to supervisor
• Ensure complete components are stored in such a way that no damage will occur while in transit to the next operation
• Responsible for lowerlevel machine work (i.e., drilling, tapping, grinding, etc.)
• Will work as part of a multifunctional team to promote continuous improvements to safety, quality, efficiency, productivity, and Product development
• All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE
and QUALIFICATIONS

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required. • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent GED.
• A minimum of 13 years' experience doing setups, edits, and machining on CNC Lathes
• Experience with carbon, stainless steel materials
• Experience running station with multiple machines in a fastpaced work environment
• Experience with Okuma Lathes with Live Tooling a major plus
• Experience with G-Codes & Okuma Controls (OSP 200LA and 300) a major plus

• Regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to clearly hear voices or alarms, bells, and other noise.

Plant/Shop/Field Services:_

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; and risk of electrical shock.

• Occasionally exposed to the risk of radiation or electrical shock.
