    Parkview Regional Medical Center – 5 Surgical is looking for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our amazing team

    Schedule:

    • Part Time Positions
    • Night 7p-7a Shifts Available
    • 24 – 36 hours a week (Eligible for Benefits)
    • Weekends

    Summary:

    • The 5-Surgical unit is located on the 5th floor of Parkview Regional Medical Center.
    • 36 bed Med Surg unit with varying levels of acuity depending on the patient's phase of recovery.
    • Most patients are recovering from general surgery or colorectal procedures.

    Job Responsibilities:

    · Responsible for assisting Registered Nurses with care and assessment of all age groups within the Standard of Care set by Parkview Health System and Indiana Nurse Practice Act.

    · Works under the direction of a Registered Nurse in accordance with individual patient needs, physician orders, home care and departmental policies.

    · Provides hospice/palliative and home care services with respect for human dignity and the uniqueness of the patient, or the nature of the health problems.

    · Maintains confidential information regarding patients/caregiver, and all health care team members.

    Required Education:

    • Must be a graduate of practical nursing.
    • Must be able to complete Parkview's General, Epic, and Jump Start Orientation and unit specific orientation as provided and required.

    Licensure:

    • Valid Indiana Licensed Practical Nurse license
    • Current CPR certification
    • Valid state driver's license
    • Reliable transportation
    • Proof of auto insurance

    Qualifications:

    • Be able to lift 50 pounds, assist with lifting 100 pounds.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills

    *Bonus Details*

    · Must accept a position with a 0.6 FTE or higher.

    · Cannot be a Parkview rehire from a bonus-eligible position within the last year.

    · Cannot owe a balance on a previously paid Parkview bonus.

    · Cannot be a current Parkview employee in a bonus-eligible position (internal RN new grads, ex. PCT transferring to LPN/RN are eligible if requirements above are met as well).
