    University Health Physicians (UHP) is the physician group practice for the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine (UMKC) in conjunction with its major teaching facility.

    UMKC supports several residencies and many of our physicians have teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students. UHP is also the primary physician group for Truman Medical Centers/University Health in Kansas City, MO. known as "Kansas City's Essential Hospital," it is the safety net healthcare system for Jackson County/Kansas City, MO.

    Job Description

    University Health Physicians _,_ the academic group practice for the
    University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine seeks a full time faculty member for the Department of Ob/GYN at
    University Health Women's Care (UHWC) in Lee's Summit, Missouri with hospital privileges at Truman Medical Center - Lakewood . UHWC provides the expertise of academic medicine in a private practice setting. The ideal candidate is a BC/BE Ob/Gyn physician who provides excellent full scope obstetric and gynecologic care, in the office and hospital. The selected candidate would join a group of Ob/Gyn specialists, a female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgeon and 2 certified nurse midwives, in a beautiful suburban setting. Opportunities for medical student and resident education, in-office procedures and daVinci robotic surgery are also available.

    Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with background.

    In addition to a busy residency program of 32 residents, the Department of OB/GYN, primarily located in Kansas City, Missouri, has a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship program, a pediatric and adolescent gynecology fellowship program, and exciting opportunities for research and academic achievement.
