Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping staff, ensuring that all rooms and public areas are cleaned and maintained according to established standards.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and highquality service delivery.
  • Schedule and assign daily cleaning tasks to housekeeping team members, ensuring that all areas of the hotel are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and backofhouse areas to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and compliance with hotel standards.
  • Coordinate with the front desk and maintenance staff to prioritize room cleaning and ensure prompt response to guest requests and maintenance issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and amenities, and place orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff and provide feedback and coaching to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Address guest complaints and concerns regarding housekeeping issues promptly and effectively, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of the guest.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations and procedures, including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of housekeeping policies, procedures, and standards to enhance efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as front office and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination and communication across all hotel operations.

Qualifications:


  • Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and management.
  • Detailoriented with a keen eye for cleanliness and organization.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals used in commercial cleaning operations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management or related field is a plus.
