We Are Hiring Psychiatric Technician (Safety) Metropolitan State Hospital is located in the City of Norwalk.**
HOURS AND SALARIES MAY VARY FOR INTERMITTENT APPOINTMENTS

TRAINING EXPECTATIONS:If selected it is mandatory that you attend New Employee Orientation (NEO) in its entirety. NEO can be scheduled up to 30 days for level of care staff (clinical).

Minimum Qualifications:


  • Possession of a valid license to practice as a Psychiatric Technician issued by the BVNPTE. (Applicants who are within four months of completing the Psychiatric Technician curriculum accredited by the BVNPTE will be admitted to the examination, but they must secure this license before they will be eligible for appointment.)

Opened in 1916, DSH-Metropolitan State Hospital is in the vibrant community of Norwalk,15 miles east of Los Angeles.

DSH-Metropolitan State Hospital has an open campus within a security perimeter. The hospital operates approximately 826 beds.
