Job Requirements

  • The job will require the person to define, measure, analyze and recommend implement upgrades to increase the safety of equipment/process.
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematic drawings, engineering prints/specifications and/or manufacturing manuals, and/or verbal/written instructions.
  • Diagnose, isolate, and correct electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic problems which include replacement and adjustment of components, integral units, motors, controls, switches, standard devices, valves, and gear.
  • Utilize appropriate test instruments, gear, and equipment to test and ensure compatibility and safety of all circuits, components, switches, controls, etc., to assure correct performance, quality, and operation.
  • Install, program, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and electro-mechanical systems, pneumatic, hydraulic, and computer-controlled instrumentation / controls, automation components, sensors, control drives, PLC programs, etc
  • Develops wiring diagrams, layout drawings, and engineering specifications for system or equipment modifications. Orders materials, schedules the work, and directs personnel assisting with improvements.
  • Improves machine performance. May require implementing redesign and fabrication of new parts; replacing outdated or obsolete component with modern component; Trouble shooting PLC program, servo systems, robotics, and motor control.
  • Trains lower-level technicians in areas of equipment repair and maintenance. Provides feedback on their technical abilities and performance. Assist in implementing effective preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule and work overtime to meet the demands of the value steams.
  • Utilize all resource including machine OEM's, suppliers, machine documentation, and technical data sheets to determine root cause, make repairs, and make improvements.
