- Conducts background investigations and compiles personal history statements (background checks) on new and current employees.
- Preliminarily verifies information on all personal history statements.
- Assists new applicants in completing applications.
- Completes thorough investigations (check personal references, previous employment) on all key and management employees, prepares investigative reports and suitability determinations for Compliance Director signature; prepares mailing to National Indian Gaming Commission for their approval on employee licensing.
- Prepares employee files and maintain the filing system.
- Submits annual background lists to State of MN. Alcohol/Gambling Enforcement Division for criminal history record information checks on all key and management staff.
- Processes job applications; maintains updated information on older applications.
- Licenses new vendors and renews licenses for current vendors.
- Maintains updated list of employees who operate company vehicles, ensures drivers licenses are up to date.
- Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
- Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
- Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
- Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION SUMMARY

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education Required: High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency (GED)
Experience: One to two years related experience.
Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills
Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
