    Machine Shop Lead Position



    HIGHLIGHTS
    - Location: Phoenix, AZ 85027
    - Position Type: Direct Hire or Contract to Hire
    - Hourly / Salary: Based on experience, $90-105K annually
    - Residency Status: US Citizen ONLY

    Our client is searching for a qualified Machine Shop Lead to join their team.

    Job Description:
    • Determining necessary resources to optimize workflow in the Machine Shop for on-time delivery and to support prototyping aligned with company's growth projections
    • Ensure business continuity through cross-training, supporting employee development in collaboration with the Machine Shop Manager
    • Resolve conflicts in the workplace, fostering teamwork and collaboration to maintain a positive work environment
    • Build trust among colleagues, manage up with effective communication, and demonstrate a commitment to teamwork
    • Participate in decision-making processes aligned with the company's vision
    • Display humility, empathy, and effective communication skills, focusing on employee growth and development
    • Advocate for positive change management, emphasizing culture and adherence to company rules
    • Embrace KPIs/metrics and demonstrate accountability for continuous improvement
    • Coordinate training and development of operators to enhance manufacturing processes

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Training and developing operators to ensure proper execution of defined processes and maintain part quality
    • Assist in managing production/workload priorities and equipment planning
    • Collaborate on equipment maintenance to prevent downtime
    • Ensure proper inspection of parts and implement improvement programs for productivity
    • Supervise and resolve workplace issues, adjust work schedules as needed
    • Utilize production data for improvements, comply with safety standards and quality management systems
    • Drive continuous improvement through resource optimization and increased productivity

    Skills and Requirements:
    • 12+ years of Machine Shop experience, with expertise in programming lathes and mills, automation, and supervision
    • Proficiency in machine programming software, time management, and quality control
    • Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills
    • Knowledge of MS Office and advanced Excel proficiency preferred

    Experience:
    • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience, with a focus on machining operations and supervision

    Education:
    • Associate's degree from a Technical College/Trade School or equivalent experience
