Cyber & Electronic Warfare, a business group within HII's Mission Technologies division. HII works within our nation's intelligence and cyber operations communities to defend our interests in cyberspace.

Meet HII's Mission Technologies Division

  • Supports EW systems installed on Air Mobility Command (AMC) and AFSOC aircraft.
  • Create and edit aircrew operator handbooks for EW systems.
  • Provides technical expertise on EW system requirements, host aircraft performance and selfprotection, electrooptical/infrared (EO/IR) threat capabilities and EW system performance against those threats, and all technical aspects of an EW system lifecycle including system acquisition, design, mission data development, engineering, integration, testing, operation, performance, and documentation.
  • Assists in developing requirements for updates of mission databases in line with assessed and validated threat parameter changes.
  • Drafts and edits technical documentation including system descriptions, operator handbooks, manuals, and PACER WARE messages

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Defines and monitors mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure mission success of programs.

Performs or assures quality, risk management, safety, reliability and maintainability of program achievements, subcontractors, and suppliers in accordance with contractual requirements.

Assesses program performance and risks, and determines resources to ensure mission assurance.

  • Reviews technical intelligence data to determine impacts, extract appropriate parametric information and program EO/IR software to enhance mission effectiveness in threat environments worldwide.
  • Assists in test planning, performs RWR system tests in laboratory and field environments.
  • Performs testing and troubleshooting on fielded IR systems.

Minimum Qualifications:


  • 2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
  • Currently possess an active and transferable DoD security clearance with current investigation at the secret level.

Preferred Requirements:

Minimum of 8 years' experience in technical or flight-line role supporting reprogrammable EW systems such as:

  • ALE-47 CMDS, AAR-47 MWS, AAQ-24 LAIRCM, ALQ-211, ALQ-172, ALR-69/69A, APR-39, ALR-56M, Integrated Defensive Avionics [SAMS-ESA/AIECS; MC/AC-130J RFCM; SMP]

Physical Requirements:


  • May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
