Job Description

Position Overview


The Manager, Sourcing will act as the team lead responsible for the deployment of owner-supplied equipment across Invenergy's construction portfolio.

This role will follow the procurement lifecycle for individual renewable energy projects from offtake negotiation through commercial operation and will serve as the internal point of contact for all owner-supplied equipment matters at the project level.

This position will be based in Chicago, Illinois and will report through the Sourcing & Logistics arm of Invenergy's Renewable Procurement department.


Responsibilities:

- _ Sourcing Team Lead _
  • Manage people and process development in support of the deployment of ownersupplied equipment across Invenergy's construction portfolio.
- _ Supply Contract Management_
  • Oversee implementation of equipment supply contracts during project construction and commissioning. Includes delivery scheduling, vendor communication, 3PL interface, invoice verification, and payment followthrough.
- _ Construction Management Support _
  • Lead communication with the Construction Project Management team in topics related to ownersupplied equipment. Includes support of EPC contract negotiation, realtime equipment delivery scheduling, and troubleshooting equipment related concerns on site.
- _ Equipment Receiving and Inventory Management_
  • Execute Invenergy's equipment receiving and inventory program at the portfolio level. Team is responsible for training onsite materials receiving personnel, leading communication of delivery status on a realtime basis, managing equipment receiving and inventory status, and reportingout through organization.
- _ Offtake Contract Support_
  • Oversee ownersupplied equipment input to offtake contract negotiation. Touchpoint between Origination, Project Management, and Procurement.

Required Skills:


  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of total professional experience.
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with equipment supply and construction agreements.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Educational background in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or Supply Chain Management.
  • 3+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, project construction and/or project development.
  • 1+ years of experience in people management.
  • Thorough understanding of the legal aspects of procurement.
  • Strong organizational, time management, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to be adaptable and work in a dynamic environment alongside people with diverse interests and backgrounds.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
