Position Title: Network Manager
Position Summary:
Manage daily operations of the Store and Corporate Networks. Plan, design, develop, deploy, and
maintain the Store and Corporate Network for consistent uptime and to maximize usage. Interface with
business to translate requirements into technology solutions. Work with CIO and team to create and
implement networking technology to support the business goals.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the daily operation of the Store and Corporate network. This includes new and existing
networks and management and maintenance of same.
- Manage outsourced service providers to deliver a consistent and quality network.
- Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure infrastructure capacity
meets existing and future requirements.
- Establish service level agreement in support of all applications and resources maintained by the
IT Department.
- Create, refine, and implement policies and procedures required to maintain a stable and
compliant network.
- Ensure that the implementation and operation of the networks adhere to security mandates
defined by the security task force and PCI compliance standards.
- Participate in the creation of infrastructure security policy and procedures.
- Select and implement the tools that are essential to provide timely problem detection and
resolution.
- Take ownership of operational issues, manage troubleshooting and resolution process, and
provide root cause analysis through postmortem session.
- Participate in establishing criteria for product review, and vendor selection; and assist the CIO
in contract negotiation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year college/University degree in computer Science and/or relevant technology certificates
or 8 + years of experience in Networking practice
- Certification in one or more of the following: Windows, PCI Compliance, Cisco Routers,
Firewalls and Switches, DNS, Reverse Proxy and other related TCP/IP networking skills. iSeries
skills a definite plus
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- 8 + years of experience in network design, implementation, troubleshooting and management.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting Network hardware, and software related problems
- Experience in implementation of PCI mandates.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and back up concepts and technologies with network
devices.
- Excellent project management and documentation skills.
- Demonstrate passion for networking and its relevant applicability to advance company
interests.
- Ability to present ideas in a clear and concise manner to management.
- Ability to make sound judgments, prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, fast-paced
environment.
- Demonstrate leadership and good judgment in emergency situations.
- Self-driven and goal oriented.
- Quality focused and customer service oriented.
- Be proactive and have a keen attention to detail.
