General Accountabilities
- Understanding verification of benefits for mental health services
- Understanding obtaining/tracking referrals and authorizations
- Client payment processing, setting up payment plans if needed
- Understanding ERA/EOB's for denials or inaccurate benefits
- Assist clients and clinicians with billing related questions
- Deescalation of clients billing issues
Job Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma
2 years of experience with mental health billing or equivalent work in a medical office that utilizes mental health codes_
- _
2 years of experience with customer service in medical billing and the medical industry_
- Experience with Simple Practice EHR software
- Knowledge of PHI rules, HIPAA laws, CPT and ICD10 codes
- Experience with insurance portals
