**General Manager, VP - (PA/NJ)**

We are actively seeking a **General Manager (PA/NJ)** to help drive Medly's mission and support the next phase of growth. The General Manager will be an integral partner to Medly's HQ leadership and have an impact on all business operations and objectives. They will own the market, overseeing multiple retail locations across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, as well as penetrating the larger total addressable market. The GM will ensure that each store represents the Medly brand and operations through and through.

**What you'll do** :

? **Team Management** The General Manager (GM) is the lifeline of a high performing team. They identify hiring needs, recruiting top talent and leading a team of rockstars across multiple locations and departments. Work closely with HQ for high quality training and expediting hiring timelines to minimize human capital gaps. The GM is continuously looking at the bigger picture and incorporating this in their team management style. Develop an effective performance management workflow and team development plan to ensure optimal output. They build a strong sense of ownership and continuously monitor/improve team morale. Be quick to identify underperformers and the right course of action. The GM is accountable to employee satisfaction, retention and performance.

? **Strong HQ Partnership** Instill and elevate the Medly strategy playbook. Your role will be to ensure each store in your territory is Medlified: represents and upholds a consistent high quality patient/employee experience. You will be in the weeds day in and day out for local retail operations, identifying opportunities to communicate and collaborate with the central team. Your team will be on the front lines and your role will be to step back and advocate for the right HQ resources to support them doing their job the best they can. They will serve as the voice of the market and partner with HQ as it does in market analysis from competitors to monitoring regulatory changes. Additionally, you should develop strong interpersonal relationships and stakeholder management across central teams.

? **P&L Ownership** Manage the budget from partnering with sales/HQ to drive the top line to serving as a catalyst to efficiencies to enhance the margins and bottom line. Build robust forecasting models and iterate on them with real time insights, working closely with the finance team to set the right budget target. Continuously driving down the delta between actuals and forecasts while minimizing any quality tradeoffs.

? **Continuous Retail Improvements** The GM will continuously be forward thinking and driving the big picture. He/She will think through how the next quarters and years should look as well as the big ticket items that will help Medly get there. To complement this the GM will ensure strong operations day-to-day, identifying and helping enhance critical end-to-end business processes in each Pharmacy department/location. Drive scalable and sustainable operational improvements, working alongside HQ functional stakeholders. Utilize sound business judgment to continuously run local tests on everything from improving patient experience to the new market growth strategy with cost per prescription.

**What you'll need** :

10+ years proven success in a similar role leading business operations in healthcare, retail or fast moving goods industry, overseeing one or more business locations and/or departments.

5+ years of management experience with vast experience in recruiting, managing, and developing a high performing team through accountability driven leadership.

Undergraduate degree is required. Masters in Healthcare Management or MBA is strongly preferred or rich real world experience.

Have extensive P&L ownership experience: managing both bottom and top line P&L

Ability to move with agility and speed. Able to translate market conditions and department demands into process improvement and efficiency opportunities to deliver strong service outcomes.

Superior analytical skills to pull key insights from vast amounts of data and identifying how to let data lead business decisions, big and small.

Experience providing a data and metrics driven analysis of markets and trends, anticipating and identifying opportunities, and developing insight at a strategic level.

Demonstrated experience developing and executing on complex operational strategies (e.g. product or geographic expansions).

Expert communication and interpersonal skills; must be able to lead meetings and work streams with executive and senior leadership across the company. This will be especially crucial with Finance, Sales, Marketing, GTM, Product, and Operations.
