As Home Health Safety Attendant you'll contribute to our success in the following ways:

  • Accompany nurses and other assigned staff to patient homes, ensuring their safety and security during visits.
  • Observe and assess home environment for potential safety hazards and take appropriate actions to mitigate risk.
  • Be prepared to respond to escalated situations, including contacting emergency services when required.
  • Respect and maintain patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Demonstrates courtesy and cooperation while representing Elara in any capacity.
  • Understands, adheres to, and perform all duties in accordance with established Elara policies and procedures.
  • Exhibits, maintains and serves as a role model for high ethical standards of Elara.
  • Attends training sessions as indicated by supervisor.
  • Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned.
What is Required?

  • 1+ year experience in security or safety role is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Travel to patients with Agency staff is required
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
  • Able to effectively communicate in verbal and written formats.
  • Must be able to meet physical needs of the job including sitting, standing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs occasionally.
  • Able to identify security risks and mitigate risks within patient homes.
You will report to the Office Manager.
