Position Overview:

Rapidly growing, locally owned and operated secure document storage and document destruction company in northern Illinois needs drivers for deliveries and pickups.

Must be familiar with driving in downtown Chicago and the greater Chicagoland area. The Drivers will be responsible for safely and efficiently collecting, transporting, and shredding confidential documents from our clients' locations.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' information while providing exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily pretrip inspections of assigned vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with company standards.
• Safely operate shredding trucks and equipment in adherence to traffic laws and company policies.
• Complete scheduled routes in a timely manner, following designated routes and adhering to established timeframes.
• Collect confidential documents and materials from client locations, providing courteous and professional service at all times.
• Securely transport documents to designated shredding facility for destruction.
• Operate shredding equipment to destroy documents in accordance with company procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of collection and shredding activities, including mileage logs, time sheets, and service tickets.
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal team members to address any questions or concerns regarding service delivery.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. CDL preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in document destruction or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• This job is physically demanding. Must be able to lift (up to 80 lbs) and move heavy objects (up to 350 lb totes on wheels) on a regular basis.
• Flexibility to sometimes start work early mornings (6am) and occasional weekends during the summer as needed. All weekend work is paid at a higher rate.

Pay:
$39, $40,000.00 per year
