Job Description
Job DescriptionPosition Description: The bookkeeper/accounts payable clerk position prepares checks for payment on client accounts, reconciles accounts, and generates reports. Assist regularly with administrative duties and case management under direction of Principal.
Major Areas of Responsibility include:
Check writing
Reconciling monthly checking and savings accounts
Reconciling monthly and quarterly portfolio accounts
Tracking data monthly for annual reports
Generating quarterly reports for beneficiaries
Interacting with clients and performing light case management
Administrative Duties
Answer phones, obtain information, transfer calls
Process incoming mail and distribute to administrators
Filing legal pleadings
Manage office supplies
Job Requirements:
Extensive knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and the operation of standard office equipment
Broad knowledge of clerical and administrative processes
Above average skills in written and verbal communication, multi-tasking, task prioritization, and problem solving
Demonstrated ability to be flexible, willing to learn office policies and procedures, to accept task assignments, and to take ownership of task responsibilities
A desire to effect change in the lives of Arizona's vulnerable populations
Education and Experience:
Post-secondary education preferred. Five years minimum demonstrated experience in office or business management with accounts payable/bookkeeping functions. Knowledge of financial, legal, and/or the social work fields preferred
Physical Demands:
This position requires that the candidate communicate in person and telephonically, drive, perform light lifting (25 lbs or less), reach, bend, and sit for hours at a time
