We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented front desk medical receptionist to join our Oceanside Clinic, who can also help out on the floor as a physical therapy aide.

This combination is the perfect role for someone interested in learning more about the field of physical therapy + get great hands-on patient experience

At the core of the role, we are looking for a receptionist who can provide great customer service


Responsibilities include:

  • Greet and welcome all patients who enter the clinic.
  • Communicate the importance of physical and occupational therapy to our patients.
  • Answer incoming calls promptly and in a customer service friendly manner. The office receives calls on a daily basis handled by a team of care coordinators
  • Encourage patients to keep their appointments, limiting cancellations.
  • Schedule appointments for new and returning patients.
  • Complete new patient registration.
  • Collect applicable payments.
  • Responsible for scanning, importing and handling faxes from doctor offices
  • Coordinate with patients, therapists, and as required the insurance team, billing team and home care scheduling team
  • Manage the physical therapists and occupational therapists schedules.
  • Assist patients with exercises
  • Maintaining the general organization of the clinic.
  • Assist with patient flow within the facility as per the direction of the Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant.

What you will need:

  • Must live within 30 minutes driving distance from the Oceanside office
  • Excellent customer service skills and a compassion for helping people
  • Proficient using an EMR and quick to learn different computer programs
  • Experience with managing a multi line phone system
  • Selfdirected with organizing skills
  • Can accurately handle patient scheduling/management
  • Punctual and stable work schedule
  • Medical reception experience is a plus

$ $23.00 per hour

  • 4 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Ability to Relocate:

  • Oceanside, NY: Relocate before starting work (required)
