Description
Waterbury Surgery Center is a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center in Waterbury, CT.
The Anesthesia Department has a collegial and collaborative relationship with our surgeon owners, and we provide exceptional service and clinical care to our Center.
Case types include general, regional, and MAC cases. Physicians should be comfortable with regional anesthesia techniques.Awards
Case Assignments
Provide comprehensive outpatient services in general medicine and surgery and a variety of specialties including Plastics, ENT, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Urology, Gastroenterology, and Pain cases.
There are 3 operating rooms and 2 endoscopy rooms.Shifts
The center is open Monday-Friday from 6:30am-4:30pm. No nights, weekends or holidays.

RequirementsResponsibilities
Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
ECFMG and FLEX
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
Currently licensed as a physician
