In the Pre-Procedure Testing position you will be responsible for:

Ensuring a smooth and safe transition to the day of surgery
Ensuring the patients guidelines to move forward with procedure, providing necessary instructions leading up to the surgery including transportation, facility, arrival time, eating, drinking and medication instructions
Acting as a liaison between staff, surgeons and anesthesiologists leading up to the procedure date.
Working closing with surgical booking office and communication any special circumstance with staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current and unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut or the ability to obtain.
Possess the knowledge and skills necessary to assess health needs of patients and to perform nursing care in a safe, caring manner

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of acute care nursing experience
BSN or ADN/ASN and actively enrolled in a BSN program
Epic experience
