We are seeking a
_ Laboratory Assistant _to carry out experiments under close supervision of a faculty investigator, senior technician, or postdoctoral fellow, in a pediatric oncology lab that specializes in solid tumor research.

Follows routine protocols under the close supervision.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Participates in lab meetings and journal clubs.
  • Records data.
  • Maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
  • Prepares solutions, reagents, and stains following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
  • Prepares, cleans, sterilizes, and maintains laboratory equipment, glassware, and instruments used in research experiments.
  • Grows and maintains human cell lines used in laboratory research.
  • Performs experiments under direct supervision of a senior lab member and in doing so, utilizes requisite lab equipment and instruments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Some undergraduate coursework.
