Description

We are seeking a
_ Laboratory Assistant _to carry out experiments under close supervision of a faculty investigator, senior technician, or postdoctoral fellow, in a pediatric oncology lab that specializes in solid tumor research.

Follows routine protocols under the close supervision.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Participates in lab meetings and journal clubs.
Records data.
Maintains and makes minor adjustments to equipment.
Prepares solutions, reagents, and stains following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
Prepares, cleans, sterilizes, and maintains laboratory equipment, glassware, and instruments used in research experiments.
Grows and maintains human cell lines used in laboratory research.
Performs experiments under direct supervision of a senior lab member and in doing so, utilizes requisite lab equipment and instruments.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or graduation equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

Some undergraduate coursework.
