WHAT A DISTRICT MANAGER WILL DO:
A GPM District Manager will be responsible for leading the operations of 8-12 convenience stores and their staff. Through effective leadership, the District Manager will engage and empower store teams positively, while ensuring consistency and accountability. Responsibilities:


  • Oversee sales and operations across multiple units.
  • Collaborate with vendors and Store Managers to maintain clean, well-stocked, and organized stores that provide a positive customer experience.
  • Work closely with Store Managers on staffing, store conditions, and performance expectations, ensuring accountability among management and team members.
  • Uphold high levels of customer service through daily interactions with customers, team members, and vendors.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor management staff in the designated area.
  • Ensure adherence to all procedures and standards for successful daily operations and sanitation at each store location.
  • Implement company policies and establish short- and long-term goals and objectives.
  • Manage expenses and monitor payroll budgets.
  • Analyze profit and loss statements to drive performance improvements.
  • Address employee relations issues with guidance from the Human Resources Manager.
  • Play a key role in loss prevention, internal theft prevention, and inventory management.
  • Complete daily paperwork and computer tasks promptly as directed by management.
  • Take on special assignments and projects as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field preferred; 3-5 years of retail management experience may be considered in place of a 4-year degree
  • Preferred experience in convenience store or multi-unit management
  • Previous Food Service experience, especially in a managerial role, is a plus
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience, preferably in convenience stores, fast food, restaurants, or retail
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to be on call for emergencies and store operations within 18-24 operating hours
  • Minimum age requirement: 21 years old
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong professional communication skills for effective interaction with employees, customers, and vendors
  • Excellent analytical and organizational abilities with attention to detail, flexibility, and adaptability to change
