    Description

    Artel AnnexSummary:

    The successful candidate will carry out the daily internal and external maintenance duties of the facilities, including cleaning and repairs.

    He/She will work closely with the facility's manager and the building superintendent to ensure maintenance duties are performed according to the long-term facility goals and all federal, city and state regulations.


    Responsibilities:

    The Maintenance worker is responsible for, but not limited to:Cleaning the exterior perimeter, lobby, hallways, walls, and elevators of the facilityCleaning the resident bathrooms and recreation rooms, as well as other spaces as neededHandling repairs and painting as assigned through work ordersRemoving snow and salts ice on the exterior grounds of the facility during the winterConducting garbage runs throughout the facility, including staff office spacesPreparing and cleaning the garbage room to ensure weekly removal of trash and recyclablesMaintaining staff closets, slop sinks, and other cleaning-related areas neat and cleanLocking and securing rooms and facility from entryReporting incidents, repairs needs, etc.

    Using and maintaining the related equipment of the facilityMaintaining a daily work log of work completedLogging the use of all facilities suppliesMaintaining personal appearance, hygiene, and uniform policies and standardsAssisting in complying with city, state, and federal building codes and industry standards, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Universal PrecautionsObtaining and renewing licenses and certifications needed to carry out job dutiesAttending and participating in facility and professional group meetings as scheduledMaintaining ongoing communication with facilities and other departmental supervisors and coworkers concerning maintenance issuesWorking diplomatically to solve problems in the facility Professional &

    Personal Qualifications:

    At least one (1) year of facility maintenance experience preferably in a residential facility High School Diploma/GED is requiredCPR/Basic First Aid certificationBasic knowledgeable of carpentry, electrical work, and plumbing preferredOccupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) CertificationAble to operate related equipment, tools, and materials used in the facilityCommitment to the mission of the NAICA, Inc.

    Proven ability to work collaboratively well with diverse groupsProven ability to handle multiple tasks effectively under pressureStrong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and efficientCapable of obtaining other credentials as may be needed (i.e. FDNY F02 Certificate of Fitness)Work a standard work schedule (set hours as assigned)Maybe required to work outside of standard work hours or on weekendsFrequent bending, lifting, reaching, extended walkingHeavy work (equivalent of lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds)
