Description
AVA is currently working with an independent energy company that has a strong presence in Germany's Onshore Wind sector.

They are seeking a Head of Grid to join their team in Berlin, with the option for flexible hybrid working.

As the Head of the Grid Team, your main responsibility will be overseeing the complex process of connecting wind farms to the electrical grid.

You will be responsible for coordinating with both internal teams and external partners to ensure a smooth integration of the parks into the grid system.


Key skills:
Extensive experience in grid connections and electrical engineering within Germany's renewable energy industry
Thorough knowledge of grid codes, regulations, and standards
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and stakeholders
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with working with local authorities and grid operators
Understanding of the German energy market and its connection procedures
Proficiency in risk analysis and mitigation related to grid connections
Engineering degree required
Fluent in German at a C1 level.
