Summary

Perform Inspections and Surveillances as directed by Quality Supervision to ensure that work is performed as required by the Project Quality Plan, codes, specifications, drawings, procedures, and contract. Ensure that the required documentation/records are generated, maintained, and include the details of all inspections/surveillances performed. Inspectors shall only perform inspections/surveillances for which they have been previously qualified by training. Interact cross-functionally with project team members and management. Provide input to Quality Management reports.

Responsibilities

Perform VT/MT/PT inspections (certifiable to ASNT SNT-TC-1a – Level II).
Understand Contract Requirements.
Understand Subcontractor(s) Contract Requirements.
Follow the HSE requirements applicable to work scope.
Assist with development of project specific quality procedures.
Assist with development of project specific inspection and test plans.
Perform and document inspections as assigned.
Perform and document inspections of subcontractor work as assigned.
Oversee subcontractor inspections and review of subcontractor documentation.
Generate NCR's when required.

Education

Active NDE Certifications in the following: VT, MT, PT Level II.
Adequate experience in utilizing these certifications.

Physical Requirements

Ability to reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see and to perform repetitive motions.
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
Ability to reach with hands or arms, stand, walk, use hands or fingers, grip, grasp, feel, talk, hear, see, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and to perform repetitive motions.
Ability to sit at a desk and operate computer for extended periods of time.
The ability to lift and carry 15 lbs. on a regular basis is required and at times lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required.
