Associate Marketing Manager, Crown and Currency - New York, United States - Penguin Random House LLC
Description
Specific responsibilities:
- Implements creative, datadriven, resultsoriented campaigns, with a focus on marketing select frontlist titles, backlist priority titles, longterm campaigns, and trade paperback conversions
- In partnership with Crown's analytics team, use consumer insights and data to drive promotions for frontlist and backlist titles, enhancing ongoing discovery and sales
- Drives and conducts outreach to target audiences, engaging with social media influencers, organizations, book clubs, and potential partners
- Works with publicity, editorial, and design to develop time sensitive pitch decks
- Participates in and contributes perspective at internal and external meetings with publicists, editors, sales, authors, and agents
- Identifies opportunities for enhancing imprint campaigns by tying into cultural and relevant moments, and aids in developing best practices (new tools, platforms, and partnership opportunities)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A growth mindset committed to a creative and entrepreneurial approach to publishing
- At least 4 years of relevant marketing experience in book publishing or a related field
- Experience working with sensitive material, authors, and agents
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently as well as in a collaborative setting
- Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
- A motivated selfstarter, strategic thinker, and team player
