Position Summary:

Under direction, performs administrative, data collection and operational activities for clinical research studies. This role also maintains databases that will be used for data analysis.


Responsibilities:


  • Reports all Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) to Institutional Review Board and other agencies, as required.
  • Maintains research records pertinent to active participation as a member institution of cooperative groups and research consortiums.
  • Reviews clinical charts and compiles laboratory and clinical data.
  • Prepares and analyzes data reports.
  • Prepares and coordinates all documents necessary to initiate and continue studies.
  • Assists in the preparation of abstracts and manuscripts.
  • Prepares graphs, tables, charts, slides and posters.
  • Proofreads research materials and documents.
  • Coordinates and participates in site visits and audits. Ensures readiness and compliance. Addresses and resolves issues uncovered during visit/audit.

Education:


  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:


  • Previous related experience in a hospital, research, or university environment
    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous demands and prioritize work.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
