- Troubleshoot non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment in the manufacturing process.
- Dismantle, adjust, repair, and rebuild manufacturing equipment using blueprints, manuals, sketches, or drawings/schematics.
- Use test and diagnostic equipment for checkouts, applying substantial understanding, knowledge, and skill in prioritizing repairs and adjustments.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and document maintenance as per program designation.
- Calibrate equipment using general and special-purpose test equipment.
- Communicate with equipment suppliers for repairs, maintaining data for process improvement initiatives.
- May assist in developing work procedures, source and purchase equipment parts, and maintain backup information for critical production equipment software systems.
- Make recommendations regarding new or replacement equipment, train employees in machinery operation, and may work overtime or be on-call.
- Comply with company security policies.
- Proficient in English communication.
- Personal computer operation in a Windows environment (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and e-mail).
- Broad knowledge and troubleshooting capability with various electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Use of basic and special-purpose hand tools, leveling instruments, and test/calibration equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot failures detectable at the IO level.
- Forklift certification may be required.
- Understanding of safety practices requirements.
- Associate degree in electronics with an emphasis in servo positioning theory or equivalent discipline, preferred.
- Five (5) to eight (8) years of prior work experience in electro-mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment is required.
