- Instruction: Deliver instruction tailored to the needs of individual students with disabilities.
- Progress Monitoring and Data Collection.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and behavior management.
- Related Services: Collaborate with educational assistants, therapists, and other support staff to provide a comprehensive educational experience for students.
- Flexibility: Be available to step in on short notice to cover special education teacher absences, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to student success.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with school staff, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
- Ready and willing to provide support across the full continuum of services provided to special education students. This includes both inclusive and self-contained settings.
- Elementary, Middle, and High School settings.
- In-person instruction.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education.
- Valid Texas teaching certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with disabilities.
- Knowledge of Individual Education Plans and special education best practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to various classroom environments and learning styles.
