Campaign Overview:

Adena Ishii is a bold leader who is running to bring common sense policies and the voices of ALL Berkeley residents to city government.

She is the youngest and first woman of color elected President of the local League of Women Voters and would be Berkeley's first-ever woman of color and Asian American mayor.

Position Overview:

This is a good opportunity for an experienced campaign professional seeking campaign management experience. This person will have strong field experience. Local experience is a plus.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee all phases of the campaign through Election Day, taking on various roles as needed to ensure the campaign's success
• Develop and execute an aggressive, datadriven field plan, including recruiting and managing volunteers
• Work with fundraising, social media, and policy research teams to maximize their efforts and keep them on track
• Collaborate closely with campaign consultants, vendors, and other stakeholders to implement the campaign's overall strategy
• Ensure consistent and effective communication within the campaign team and with external parties

Job Requirements:

• Located in Berkeley or the East Bay or have the ability to relocate to the area
• Valid driver's license and reliable access to a car
• At least one cycle of field experience or campaign management experience is required
• Flexibility and willingness to work independently, often during nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends
• Demonstrated cultural competence and the ability to adapt to different environments and cultures
• Knowledge of and experience with, or ability to learn, ActBlue and PDI
• Proficient understanding and use of Google Suite, Microsoft Office Word, and Acrobat PDF
• Experience with communications and media platforms including Mailchimp, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X (formerly Twitter)
• Ability to speak multiple languages is a plus
