Description
Under general supervision, this position is responsible for a variety of tasks in the Homewood Plant. Duties are routine, requiring some degree of independent judgment in making minor decisions. The employee is required to work the shift that is assigned which could include day, evening or night shifts. May occasionally be asked to work on weekends or holidays. Position will provide support to departments (filling, milling, premix, shipping) as needed.

Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case and will impact where actual compensation may fall within the stated wage range.

The wage range listed for this role takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions including skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.

  • General HKE
  • Clean/Sanitize Process Vessels
  • Perform drum/pail fills when necessary
  • Perform packaging/label inventories
  • Act as a fill in for filling/milling/shipping departments
  • Loading recycling trailers
  • Pull and Stage raw materials for premix/remove all dunnage/recycling
  • Operate PET bottle palletizer as required
  • Operator a forklift
  • Follows fire safety procedures and regulations.
  • May operate heavy cleaning equipment such as scrubbing machines, highspeed buffers, or wet and dry vacuum.
  • Identifies cleaning problems and determines appropriate remedies.
  • Performs related work as required and other duties as assigned
  • Must be able to work overtime as required with or without reasonable accommodation
  • RCRA Hazardous Waste Management Duties:
  • Inspects and maintains site-generated hazardous waste satellite and 90 day areas to ensure compliance with EPA standards and in accordance with provided training.
  • Ensures proper management and labeling of containers
  • Assists the transfer of sitegenerated hazardous waste to onsite staging areas
  • Receives annual hazardous waste training and universal waste training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Supervisor

Minimum Requirements:


  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent. Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Previous experience working in a teamoriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.
  • 1 year of work experience operating mobile power equipment such as lift trucks, tow motors or pallet handling equipment, order pickers, high lifts, forklifts, or cherry pickers
  • At least 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, distribution, operations function or have completed a Sherwin-Williams Development Program in an Engineering function
