    GENERAL DESCRIPTION

    OrthoNY has open positions for Licensed Practical Nurse for the Saratoga Region. The LPN will primarily perform casting and durable medical equipment as well as clinical tasks related to patient care under the supervision of a physician as needed.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Cast application, specialty cast, minor reductions/molding/suture/Staple removal and dressing changes;
    • Prepares injections, obtains cultures as ordered/needed;
    • Dispense Durable Medical Equipment (DME) to patients, application of DME, custom brace measurements, and, in some cases, ordering of DME inventory;
    • Verifying patient information; recording medical history and reporting to physician;
    • Assisting provider with patient care as requested;
    • Other responsibilities as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • High school diploma or equivalent required;
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing school required; LPN License required
    • 1- 3 years of recent experience preferred;
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills;
    • Strong data entry skills;
    • CPR Preferred

    OTHER INFORMATION

    • This is an "in office" position in a safe work environment (COVID safety protocols in effect)
    • Travel between offices will be required
