What You Will Do:


  • Plan, promote, implement, coordinate, and evaluate programs of physical, spiritual, emotional, and social wellbeing for residents in all levels of care and for staff. Maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Monitor changes in current federal and state regulations, as well as professional standards. Develop, maintain, administer and periodically update written policies and procedures and job descriptions. Orient staff and train on policies and procedures.
  • Develop departmental budget, forecasts and staffing plan. Ensure proper utilization of financial resources.
  • Supervise, schedule, and evaluate wellness and activities staff.
  • Provide supervision of volunteers ensuring a safe work practices.
  • Develop, post, and maintain a record of the monthly schedule of activities.
  • Provide a timely and informative monthly newsletter.
  • Ensure timely, safe, secure and dependable transportation services in support of the facility, department activities and Companion Services. Oversees the maintenance of communityowned vehicles to keep them in safe, clean and efficient working order.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities:


  • The position falls under the direct supervision of the Executive Director and is expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.

Why You Are Qualified:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
  • At least three (3) years of work experience required, preferably in senior living or similar industry.
  • On a daily basis, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must physically be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
