- Conduct daily and frequent inspections for quality and safety, and take corrective actions when necessary
- Understand all employee work assignments and schedules for appropriate coverage
- Provide training and retraining as required, following the recommended training procedures
- Enforce department policies, follow up on daily assignments, and conduct counseling or disciplinary actions when needed
- Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with associates, peers, customers, and managers
- Supervise special projects, on-call or new employees
- Audit building keys, pagers, and payroll on a daily basis
- Ensure effective communication of all projects, maintenance, or cleaning challenges for timely resolution
- Manage supply inventories and distribute equipment as necessary
- Monitor equipment performance and report any required repairs or replacements
- Assist in conducting employee performance evaluations and provide recommendations on performance ratings
- Identify and report the need for repairs on furniture or other building fixtures
- May help in completing custodial work assignments
- Offer functional/operational support to the work area as essential personnel during emergencies, catastrophes, inclement weather, etc.
- Prior supervisory experience is mandatory
- Physically capable of lifting, lowering, pushing, and pulling objects up to 50 lbs. unassisted
- Able to stand, climb, bend, stoop, and crouch for extended periods
- Proficient in establishing and maintaining good customer and co-worker relationships within a team setting
- Demonstrates proficient written and verbal communication skills, and can effectively follow oral or written instructions
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish is desirable
- Exhibits strong customer service, interpersonal aptitude, and attention to detail
